🧠 THE BRAND PULSE — Vol. 04
Short. Sharp. Slightly unstable. Every Friday.
Every week, I call out one thing that gives me hope and one thing that makes me want to launch my laptop into a quarry. No gurus. No fluff. Just creative crap, AI, and the weird edge where those things crash into real life.
Two ratings.
Wall-E’s (1–5): Stuff that gave me some weird hope.
Terminators (1–5): Stuff that makes me question everything.
Let’s go.
🚀 THIS WEEK'S PULSE: 4 WALL-E’s
Designers Are Finally Charging What They're Worth
Lately I’ve seen more creatives stop apologizing for their rates.
Not offering discounts. Not pretending strategy is just “vibes.” Not cramming an entire brand into a $150 logo package.
They’re showing their process, owning their value, and getting paid.
Feels like a small shift—but it matters. We need more of that. AI’s cheap. Canva’s cheaper. But actual thinking? That’s worth something.

Google’s Veo 3: AI Video That’s a Little Too Good
Google just dropped Veo 3, their latest AI video generation tool. It can create high-quality videos from text and image prompts, complete with synchronized audio, including dialogue and sound effects. The realism is impressive—and a bit unsettling.
It’s not just about generating videos anymore; it’s about creating entire scenes that could easily be mistaken for real footage. The implications for misinformation and deepfakes are significant.
And….if you’re up for it…you can watch AI refuse to believe they are created from prompts.

Final Thought:
Everyone wants to scale. Nobody wants to think.
The people who slow down and still give a shit? They're gonna win.
See you next Friday.
